Battir has many historical sites including the Roman Pools, the water system and the Railway which runs through the village taking passengers from Jerusalem to Jaffa. The hike goes through the valley between Battir Village and Beit Jala, it takes 2 hours hiking. End up in a nice restaurant and drink free local beer.
